As you can deduce from the suggestive title, “Krakowskie potwory” is a Polish series set in Krakow. Its originator is Kasia Adamik (Agnieszka Holland’s daughter), who directed the entire series together with Olga Chajdas (known, among others, from her work on “Wataha”). The main screenwriter is Magdalena Lankosz, who collaborated on the scripts with Anna Sieńska and Gaja Grzegorzewska.

The young actress Barbara Liberek played the main role. She plays the role of Alex, a newly minted medical student who got into the prestigious Collegium Medicum in Krakow. The girl grew up in the countryside and managed to get out of there thanks to her ambition and determination – and this is only the first step in her plan for a great career. It may seem that everything goes according to her plan when the world-famous pathologist, Professor Zawadzki, selects her to an elite group of students who conduct research with him.
After a while, Alex discovers that her new association is doing something completely different, and that research is just a cover. In the course of surprising events, the girl becomes entangled in a mystical plot and has to face ancient Slavic monsters and no blood deities. As the creators assure, the series is “a universal story about a young woman who must define her identity and find what is her inner life force”. The series is aimed at a young viewer.
Apart from Liberek, the screen will include: Andrzej Chyra, who plays the role of Professor Zawadzki, Stanisław Linowski – Lucky and Małgorzata Bela as the guardian of the main character of Aitwar. Apart from them, the cast also includes: Mateusz Górski (Antoni), Kaja Chan (Hania), Maja Chan (Basia), Daniel Namiotko (Gigi), Staszek Cywka (Birdy), Anna Paliga (Iliana), Eryk Pratsko (Boy), Małgorzata Rożniatowska (Grandma Alex), Małgorzata Gorol (Jagna), Wojciech Brzeziński (Robert), Julia Wyszyńska (Ewa). In the series we will also see, among others Magdalena Kole¶nik, Nina Tarczyńska, Jakub Rędziak, Ewelina Żak and Magdalena Osińska.
