Although the portal initially accepted it, the investigation revealed that the previously presented documents were forged by the 28-year-old herself.

Police launched an investigation into Coco Berthmann shortly after one of the women who had fallen for a heartbreaking cancer story approached them.

According to the “New York Post”, Berthmann did not want to report to the police station because her health did not allow it. Of course it was a lie. Moreover, the woman was unable to provide any evidence of her alleged illness, although he persuaded the officers that he would send it by e-mail. However, no one received such a message.

The police issued an arrest warrant
