In his entry, the man informed Internet users that he had recently had a heart attack, and that he was regularly taking epilepsy medications. In one of his posts he admitted that he is fully insured. He uses AOK Bayern insurance.
He showed a receipt from a German pharmacy
On Twitter, he published a photo of the receipt from the pharmacy, and also reported what his visit to the specialist looked like. – “I signed up to the doctor in person without calling. In an hour, the lady told me to come – I left the post-hospital documents. The doctor saw me, wrote me off, and I went home” – explains Mr. Karol.
The photo of the receipt gives food for thought. We see the amount of EUR 22.87 on it, or about PLN 104. Karol bought six packages of various drugs (post-infarction drugs, anti-epileptic drugs and hypnotics). It turns out that two of the drugs that appeared on the receipt are fully reimbursed in Germany, which only means that the man did not spend a penny on them. We also find out from the receipt how much these drugs cost before being refunded. Their price is EUR 60.51 and EUR 40.52. The third drug without reimbursement costs 217 euros, and 10 euros each. The price difference is huge. Mr. Karol only paid the full amount for one post-infarction drug, which cost 2.87 euro.
Mr. Karol appeals to the ruling party
Ćukasz Schreiber, a politician on Twitter, published a post in which he enthusiastically announced that pensioners will receive their 13th and 14th retirement pensions. He added that the good news for seniors was delivered by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. In response to Schreiber’s tweet, Karol wrote back to him and attached a photo from the receipt from the pharmacy:
I had a heart attack last Friday – on Wednesday I bought my post-heart attack medications + my anti-epileptic and sleeping pills. This is the receipt from my pharmacy after refunding as fully insured person with AOK Bayern. Please explain this to the pensioners.
The politician did not reply to Mr. Karol’s comment.
