This Thursday the provincial elections of the new directive of the Guayas Nucleus House of Culture (CCNG), in which seven candidates aspired to become its new president. After the vote count carried out by the Provincial Electoral Board, the winner was proclaimed List 1, led by researcher Martha Fabiola Rizzo Gonzalez.

According to information shared by CCNG, Rizzo’s list won with a total of 263 votes; distributed as follows: 91 votes at table 1, 95 votes at table 2, 40 votes at table 3, and 37 votes at table 4.
The second place with 197 votes, is occupied by the list 6, leadered by Fernando Naranjo Espinoza. While in third place, with 179 votes, is the List 2from Miguel Cantos Diaz.
The list 7, leadered by Andrea Crespo Grande, he got a total of 66 votes. The list 4, from Ibsen Hernandez Valencia, reached a total of 56 votes. The list 3, from Elmer Celso Aguirre had 32 votes. The List 5from Virgilio Aray Valverde, got 10 votes.
8 null ballots and 3 blank ballots were counted. In total and according to information from the CCNG, they added 814 votes, of a total of three thousand people registered.
This way, rizz She will be positioned in the position of president of the House of Culture NĂșcleo del Guayas, previously assumed by Fernando Naranjo.
The elections took place in the hall of the Democracy Institute, located in the Provincial Delegation of Guayas del National Electoral Council. The process was marked by a delay of almost two hours, setbacks and a last-minute subrogation of the president of the Electoral Court. The democratic act culminated at 5:00 p.m., to then proceed to the counting of votes.
The election was held after four postponements and cancellations, which had been going on since last year. Initially it was scheduled for Friday August 20 and Saturday August 21, when all the nuclei had to renew their directories.
Martha Rizzo is a consultant, social researcher, cultural manager, expert and art critic. She has a doctorate in Social Sciences with a specialty in Sociology and another in Art Sciences with a specialty in Development. She is the author of six books.
In his campaign, he assured that he will collect information from the 24 cantons of Guayas to draw up strategies consistent with the needs of each sector. His proposal was based on three axes: management, training and bonding. He also offered to create a cultural anti-corruption commission to audit the previous four years and his own management.
