The women’s harassment began to speak relatively recently. And this is a problem unfortunately very common. The perpetrators were often chiefs or colleagues from work.
“Male Poetry”
According to Reuters, the interactive exhibition “Masculine Poetry” aims to highlight issues such as stalking, harassing and molesting women. It will be open to visitors in the coming months. It was created by the Belgian duo of artists – Nathalie Erin and Frederic Durieu. Interestingly, creators privately are a buy. The history of Teenage Crka inspired them to work on the installation.
“We made this project for men”
People visiting the exhibition will follow a dark tunnel. It will contain many intrusive holograms of men of all ages, which will be activated by motion sensors. The men from the tunnel will harass visitors and make unpleasant comments. Thanks to this, the visitors of the exhibition will learn what many women have to deal with on a daily basis.
– We made this project for men. However, we realized that it also influences women who choose to share their experiences, Frederic Durieu told Reuters. “When you experience it yourself, it is very different from reading about it,” added Nathalie Erin.
