Empik 2021 bestsellers with 50 million votes added. Mata fights for the decriminalization of marijuana in Poland

The Gala Bestsellers Empik 2021 was opened by a joint performance of Krzysztof Zalewski and Igo, who sang a cover of the song “Testosteron”. Soon after, Artur Rojek appeared on the stage, who presented the first prize of the evening to the well-known and popular sanah singer. Marcin Prokop noted that she should wait on the same stage until next year, because she will probably win again – as in 2020 with her “Queen of Drama”.

It became controversial a moment later, because the young rapper Mata won in the hip-hop category. During his speech, he referred from the scene to the fact that two weeks earlier he had been arrested for drug possession. He emphasized that it was not a promotional campaign for the album “Young Matczak”, he was just tired and wanted to relax with his friends after training. “Marijuana – all of Poland is in love with it” – he said and announced that he wanted Artur Rojek joined his appeal, and a moment later he announced that the single “And you, too, very much”, was the best song in the streaming category. 2021. Receiving the statuette together with Daria Zawiałow, Vito Bambino, as the next person at the microphone, joined the postulate of legalization.

Krzysztof Zalewski may have been the first artist to play during the television broadcast of the gala, but he received his award for his acting achievements. Last year, he played the main role in the audiobook “Wilkołak” based on the book by Wojciech Chmielarz, which he also told the audience how his efforts were, and they decided that it was the best audio production of 2021.

This year, for the first time in history, a special Audience Award was presented. From among all the nominees in 12 categories, Internet users indicated one winner – the bestseller of bestsellers, i.e. the best cultural premiere of 2021 in their opinion.
