An anonymous internet user decided to share the scroll on Reddit. The woman introduced herself as a 22-year-old who had been dating a man 13 years her senior. Despite the age difference, the relationship with the 35-year-old was quite good, because they shared a common passion. At some point, however, the topic of her apartment began to dominate in their conversations. It turned out that the man had a problem with him.

– We met at my place all the time, and he constantly complained about, for example, noises behind the wall, which I have absolutely no influence on. My apartment is just a separate part of a single-family house. So as you’d expect, no soundproofing is provided for the walls and the floors are old and creak with the slightest movement, explains the 22-year-old. Apparently, the man was used to different standards and clearly did not like the conditions in which the girl he is dating lives. “The topic kept coming back like a boomerang,” she admitted.
– I have already got used to the fact that my neighbor watches TV series until she falls asleep, and the neighbor gets up to work at 4 am. In addition, now many people work from home, so they have business calls during the day. Some also invite friends. Somehow I had to get used to it. He, however, could not accept it and offered to call them or go and ask them to be quieter. For me it was terribly embarrassing – she reports.
At one point, the girl was fed up with his complaints and pointed out to him that she could not meet the 22-year-old without accepting her housing situation. – I do not know if you know living in such conditions is normal for a person of my age. Everything will come in time, she told him. At the same time, she began to wonder why they couldn’t meet at his place as well, since everything in her apartment irritated him. When she brought up the topic, the 35-year-old was supposed to explain that he lives far away and that “there are no proper connections for a girl to commute there.” – Many people told me that it was the so-called red flag and it should definitely worry me – revealed the internaut.

Warnings from friends made the 22-year-old decide to check the man on the network. It was enough for her to enter a few of his data into the search engine, which she knew, to find out the truth. – I was able to find the building in which he was supposed to live. I was terrified. A woman of the same surname was the co-owner of the house. I have no idea if it was his current wife or ex-wife or sister, but as soon as I realized what this might lead to, I blocked him straight away. I’m afraid he was actually in a relationship the whole time. After all, if it was his sister, or someone in the family, why would he hide it and not meet me there? I am grateful to all those who warned me – she concluded.
