One more time, Korrika Kulturala proposes a wide cultural offer for this new edition. Among the performances this year include the show “Hautsi da Amphora“by Ruper Ordorika, as well as the plays”err” Y “Antigone“. Among the novelties, the new section called “menu” stands out on the Korrika website, a catalog of activities open to all municipalities.
Asier Amondoresponsible for Korrika, and Aitziber Balantzategi, spokesperson for AEK, presented this Wednesday at the Baserri Antzokia in Derio the 22nd edition of Korrika Kulturala. After three years of hiatus, this year they have considered it as “a transition”, as explained by Amondo, since, from now on, it will be developed around the cultural creation scholarship offered by AEK.
But that will be from Korrika 23 onwards. “The central act of Korrika Kulturala will be carried out with the scholarship”, highlighted the person in charge of Korrika. “AEK will award a new creation every two years. This scholarship is aimed at all artists who create in Basque, their works can cover a single discipline or be multidisciplinary, and they must be able to be presented on a stage or in a square.”
They have already received this year’s proposals, which are now in the hands of the jury. The scholarship winner will be announced in April. In any case, the topic of the scholarship is, at the moment, a matter for the next Korrika.
Thus, and within loraldia festivalthis year the highlight of the program will be the show “Hautsi da Amphora”latest project by Ruper Ordorika, made in collaboration with Bernardo Atxaga and the group mugalaris. Loraldia’s representative, Amaia Ocerin, announced at a press conference that she can be seen at six Basque municipalities: Senpere, Pamplona, Bilbao, Eibar, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Errenteria.
Korrika Kulturala will also promote other creations and help bring them to different locations: among them, the show “eRRe” and “Antigone edo ezetzaren beharra”.
