Editorial Planeta will publish the winning novel by Carmen Mola in November

The novel written by the writers Jorge Díaz, Antonio Mercero and Agustín Martínez is called ‘The beast’.

The winning and finalist novels of the Planet Award 2021, The beast, from Carmen Mola -pseudonym of the trio of Spanish writers and screenwriters Jorge Díaz, Antonio Mercero and Agustín Martínez– and Last days in Berlin, from the also Spanish Paloma Sánchez-Garnica, will be in bookstores on November 4.

This was announced by the Editorial Planeta in a statement, in which the design of the covers of the two winning works advances.

From the winning work, the publisher highlights how “In a masterly way, Carmen Mola weaves, with the threads of the best thriller, this shocking, frantic and implacable novel, of hell and darkness”.

In the case of Last days in Berlin, Planet emphasizes that it is “A great story of love and war, of struggle and survival” which constitutes “a narrative delight.”

In the 70th edition of Planet Novel Award, the endowment for the winning work has been for the first time one million euros, which has become the best-endowed award in literature worldwide, while the author of the finalist work was awarded 200,000 euros. (I)
