The Cuencan heavy metal group Metal Skull innovates the local scene with the release of their debut album titled Espíritu de Metal. What is particular about this work is that it was made in LP format, being the first local band of this genre to present a long-playing acetate production.
Metal Skull is a band founded in 2016 which has been presented in different stages of the country. Regarding the album that has been available since February 1, drummer Carlos Parra said that it is an independent work recorded in Cuenca and pressed in Lima, Peru, since this service is not available in Ecuador. It is made up of eight topics that talk about personal experiences and their perspective on society.
“We bring quality work, first because an LP was always our goal, but also thinking about what quality we as collectors would like,” Parra said. Only 200 copies of the transparent disc are available.
