The next February 12 is the Ecuadorian Amazon Day and to celebrate the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Guayaquil calls for a children’s drawing and painting contest.
The activity is intended for children between 6 and 12 years old who live in Guayaquil or surrounding areas. The theme of the contest is “Animals of the Ecuadorian Amazon” for which all forms, styles and drawing and painting techniques will be accepted.
According to the rules, the participating work must be original and unpublished, made on an A3 INEM size cardboard, drawings or paintings that have been awarded in other contests will not be accepted.
“The objective of this activity is to raise awareness in the community on the importance of conservation and care for the diversity of Ecuadorian flora and fauna, as well as promoting creativity through the art of drawing and painting in infants”mention the address in a press release.
The work must be delivered with a copy of the identity card of the participant and the legal representative, along with a registration form that must be filled out. This document is available on the social networks @cultura.gye.
Once the registration period is over, the works will go through a selection process. The jury will be made up of three directors of cultural institutions, who will be present on Friday, February 11 at 10:00 at the opening of the exhibition and in the award ceremony scheduled in one of the rooms of the Museum.
The winner will receive a tablet. The works are received until February 8 at the Municipal Museum, located on Sucre streets, between Chile and Pedro Carbo. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (I)
