Some auctions are still ongoing and all the money has not yet been counted. this moment exceeds the one from 2021! Will there be another record?
How much was collected for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity 2021? The amount declared to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity 2022 is higher!
At the end of the grand finale, the declared amount was announced. Usually, it increases after you add up all donations, including but not limited to auctions. The declared amount in 2021 was PLN 127,495,626, and after the final count it increased by 80 million! It promises to be another record, because yesterday evening it was announced that at this moment the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has already collected PLN 136 282 325.
WOŚP 2022: the sum of money is not only a collection for cans. How was the money collected?
On 30/01/2022, at the end of the day, the declared amount was given, which consisted of:
- payments to cans
- electronic deposits
- donations made by partners.
To this amount will also be added, among others, and the value of the donated items (e.g. jewelry melted down to metal, thrown into the cans of volunteers).

- two-plane angiograph for the treatment of retinoblastoma – the most common malignant neoplasm of the eyeball in children;
- fundus ophthalmoscopes;
- slit lamps for the diagnosis of the anterior segment of the eye;
- tonometers for measuring intraocular pressure (cornea and lens);
- synoptophores for measuring the strabismus angle;
- OCT devices for non-invasive diagnosis of diseases;
- ok dna tomography;
- microscopes;
- operating tables.
The final amount of funds collected in each Final, confirmed by a bank statement, is traditionally announced to the public on March 8. We keep our fingers crossed!
