Disney +, The Walt Disney Company’s streaming platform, will launch in 42 countries and 11 territories this summer. The new countries will include, among others Poland, South Africa, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

The information about the launch of the service was officially confirmed by the Polish office of Disney. Earlier, in August last year, Disney boss Bob Chapek announced that the Disney + streaming service will not debut in Eastern Europe in the summer of 2022 and not, as was expected, in 2021. So far, there is no specific launch date for the platform in the announcement.
Disney + is a streaming service that owns the rights to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and many more movies and shows. In selected markets, it also shows general entertainment content under the Star brand, thanks to which users have access to new titles from 20th Century Studios, Disney Television Studios, FX, Searchlight and others. It was for the platform that i.a. a new version of “Home Alone”, the extremely popular “Mandalorian” series from the “Star Wars” universe or “Loki” with the protagonist of Marvel (Tom Hiddleston stars in the title role). There was also a premiere there – along with the cinema – Marvel’s “Black Widow” with Scarlett Johansson. In September last year, they appeared in the media after the launch of the platform.
