Tomasz Samojlik invites you to a very nice online lesson – an individual, about 45 minutes long learning how to draw forest creatures. From the largest, such as the European bison, to the smallest, such as the shrew. It can be attended by one person, but also a child with a parent or siblings. During the meeting, you will be able to ask Tomasz about interesting facts about the drawn animals – after all, the author is a scientist on a daily basis!
Online lesson date to be determined after winning the auction.
“During the day, I am a scientist, an employee of the Mammal Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Białowieża, professionally involved in researching the natural history of the Białowieża Forest. After work, I use my scientific experience to draw comics, write books and come up with various book-related projects in which I share my natural history (and not only) fascinations “- he writes about himself. Samojlik is the author of the books “Ambaras”, “Tarmosia” and “Bercia i Orson” (Agora Publishing House), as well as co-author (with Adam Wajrak) of comic stories about the Białowieża Forest in the series “Dead Forest”, “Nieumarły Las” and “Call of Carcasses” “. He is also the creator of the comic book series “Destiny Shrew” and the series of over 30 books about the Pompik bison. Destiny Shrew has a chance to hit theaters soon.
Żubr Pompik, in turn, has already had two seasons of its animated series.

#OneDayLonger. Gazeta.pl campaign for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity
The Gazeta.pl campaign for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity was born in 2019 and it was not a happy time. The 27th Final of the Great Orchestra was the first one that was not accompanied by a smile and pride in the work of helping children or the elderly until late at night. A feast of good, one of the greatest social events in Poland after 1989, was interrupted by tragic events in Gdańsk. The mayor of the city, Paweł Adamowicz, was mortally wounded on the stage of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
Then we decided: let’s finish the final next Sunday, let’s overcome evil together. This idea is still valid today, especially after the tragic months brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. Let’s play # OneDaysLonger again, so that good will prevail.
We want the holiday that we celebrate each year with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity to not end. And that’s why we ask: let’s do it again, one more day. And to the end of the world. The collected money will go to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
This year, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity plays to ensure the highest standards of diagnosis and treatment of eyesight in children. Our this year’s auctions start on January 24 and end on January 31, the day after the GOCC final. After all, we play # OneDzieńDłużej. >>
