Gierek and pets, and pre-premiere “8 things you don’t know about guys”. Helios’ repertoire

The first premiere will take viewers to the 1970s to learn about the history of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party. Gierek is a name that everyone in Poland has heard of. Who was he really? What was he dreaming about? Who was he friends with? Who did he trust? The story of a man who still arouses extreme opinions. Politics can be dirty, but when it affects the whole family, the price turns out to be too high to pay … The secrets of living together, seen through the eyes of Edward Gierek’s wife and mother, are shown on the big screen for the first time.

On the other hand, in “Sing 2” the animals led by Buster Moon koalas will prove to the whole world and themselves that it is worth dreaming! It will be the adventure of their lives, on which they will take all viewers, regardless of age. The animation will also be available in the Ukrainian version (Warsaw – a whole cinema week, Bielsko-Biała, Gdańsk Forum, Łódź, Poznań, Szczecin Kupiec, Wrocław Magnolia park, Wrocław Bielany – Sunday, 23.01.).

Helios’ repertoire always includes family films, especially animations about superheroes such as brave Maggie, who is … a wombat. “What animals dream about” is a guarantee of a fun time. It is a film that reminds us that each of us can be a hero without a mask and a cape. What counts is a good heart, courage and self-confidence.

For fans of Polish comedy, the movie “Koniec świata (The End of the World or Kogel Mogel 4”) will be an ideal proposition. New faces join the team of heroes known to viewers. Half a million viewers have already watched the film.

“Spider-Man. Far From Home” has already got us used to the fact that week after week it climbs to the tops. This year will definitely belong to Spider-Man, especially as fans will have another reason to celebrate in April: 60 years ago, the famous spider made its first appearance on the pages of a comic book. And in Helios cinemas there is still a chance for latecomers or for those who want to see the adventures of this unique hero again.

What about special screenings?

On January 24, as part of the Konesera Cinema series, Helios will present the viewers with the film “All our fears” on selected screens, in which David Ogrodnik presented himself wonderfully in the lead role as the title character Daniel, an eccentric artist, enthusiastic activist and Catholic. Forced by the dramatic course of events to fight in defense of his ideas and the parochial thinking of the community in which he lived …

On the same day, in other locations, including the Koneser Cinema, the hit of the Venice festival will be presented – “Aida”. The film describes one of the darkest pages in the history of modern Europe – the Srebrenica massacre. It is a cinematic masterpiece that stays firmly in your head and moves you to the living.

On January 26, the film “8 Things You Don’t Know About Guys” will be screened as part of the Women’s Cinema series. After the huge success of the first part of the film, well-known and completely new heroes return to the screens. They are a few years older, but has life taught them what mistakes not to make in relationships and friendships, and have they become the best versions of themselves?

On January 27, Helios will present the comedy “In-laws”, in which viewers will be invited to an unusual, but so adored by everyone … wedding. A celebration during which guests and the family prove to each other why they meet only on holidays. Together with the invitation to the wedding, the viewer receives a whole package of comic situations, dramas and crying. Unfortunately, at this wedding, it will not be possible to dance with the bride or groom, because they have different plans for the evening and … life.
