In mid-2021, the Guayaquil singer decided to start his solo career Harold Macias. Before, she was part of the Leyenda group, with which she performed in several acts, such as Teletón and Miss Ecuador.
To make the decision to start his solo career, he says that many things motivated him, one of them is that he felt stuck. He was in the band for almost six years. In his debut in this new facet he launched with the song Returns, an urban pop ballad.
“Returns It was born from a real experience. I missed that person a lot at that time, I wanted to show that, OK, I accepted my mistake, I was wrong, I am very sorry for what happened; however, I do not lose hope that at some point we can meet again. And I think that’s what the song is trying to convey,” explains the 24-year-old artist.
“It is an invitation… and they can dedicate it to other people who see themselves reflected, and that hope and faith is the last thing that is lost in a relationship,” he adds.
One of his advantages to win fans, as he points out, is his versatility, since in addition to dedicating himself to music he also works in other branches of art, such as acting, photography and video editing. “I try to mix everything and become one of the first really comprehensive artists… My intention is to show the world that I can do many things and be an example in some way for young people; and that they see that, if one fights and makes an effort, they can do even more things…”, he indicates.
“Outside artists are not the only ones who can do many things. We are used to deifying outside artists, instead of our own. Demonstrate that talent here in Ecuador is worth it, whether you just sing or just act; really show them that, if one puts a lot of passion, dedication, dedication, we can be as great as outside artists…”, he adds.
Regarding the musical genre, he points out that his idea is not only to stay in urban pop, but to explore certain rhythms that adapt to it and vice versa. “The idea is to take sentimentality without being cheesy, but to merge with the new genres that are being used a lot,” he says.
The man from Guayaquil comments that one of his projects for the future is to carry out charitable events. “I really like the social part, and I think that this is going to be an example to follow for many artists today, who would very much like to start, and obviously for new artists, it is costing us a lot to start from scratch,” he says. .
For this 2022, Macías indicates that it will start with a different version. “We are going to be a little more daring. There are also going to be a couple of quite nostalgic songs and others quite in the genre that are being worked on internationally; I’m betting big on that. Taking great care of detail, the subject of quality, the composition of the letter. I’m not writing just to write,” says the artist, who adds that in January he will make his official launch as an artist and that his manager will be Danny Salazar. (E)
