I saw a movie I hadn’t seen in a long time called The man who could be king”, dice Vaughn a GamesRadar. “It just reminded me of a lot of things that I fell in love with in film. It was a genre where I thought, ‘What happened to that?’ That kind of story, epic, adventure, great characters, funny, serious, action, it had it all.”
It also says that Lawrence de Arabia Y The canyons of Navarone they inspired him for the spy trilogy. “I was reminded of Kingsman folklore and (the scene) with Harry and Eggsy going down in the elevator, Harry saying how Kingsman was founded and why. I was like ‘God, that’s a good story.’ All of a sudden, I saw this movie and thought, ‘Okay, it’s time to write it,’ and off we go.”
Adds Fiennes: “I loved some of the scenes. Especially those that are painful: the pain of a father who does not want his son to lose his son… There is tension, there is emotional tension, but backed by a true filial love between the two”.

One of the protagonists is Conrad (Dickinson), the Duke’s son, who struggles to balance his association with the fledgling gang with his strong sense of duty to the British cause in World War I. Conrad’s decisions are fundamental in the foundations of the independent espionage organization, forming a key element of the Duke’s plans for the Kingsman organization. “I think at that age where you’re starting to be who you are as a young man, being told you can’t do something or being told no, makes you want to do it even more. I realized that certain people I grew up with had very strict parents. Those were the ones who usually got a bit unruly… So I think he wants to go and prove himself. My character wants to go and fight for a cause”, says the young actor, whom we saw in maleficent (2019) and Beach Rats (2017).
