Disney’s Epcot Park prepares its spring festival with the presence of Latina singers

The artists Melina León, from Puerto Rico, and Claudia Leitte, from Brazil, will debut at this event.

The International flower and garden festival Epcot is one of the most attractive events offered by the theme park complex Disney World, in Orlando (EE.UU.).

During the months that the festival lasts, between March and July, Epcot Park will be covered with flowers and topiaries of iconic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie, and various activities are scheduled, such as a series of concerts by renowned artists.

Among the international figures who will perform at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, are Latinas Melina Leon, Puerto Rican singer, and Claudia Leitte, Brazilian artist. The first is remembered for its cover from What will become of you, which was part of the soundtrack of the telenovela The clone (2001). Leitte for his part is one of the three voices of the hymn of the Brazil Soccer World Cup 2014, We Are One (Ole Ola), along with Pitbull and Jlo.

Leon will take the stage of the American Gardens Theater, in the aforementioned Disney theme park located in the center of Florida, on March 11 and 12. Leitte, on the other hand, will do so on April 24 and 25. Both mark their debut at this festival.

Other artists to perform at the Garden Rocks concerts to celebrate spring include local American musicians and bands. The list of artists that will be part of the program includes soloists and groups such as Kool & The Gang, The Guess Who, Simple Plan, Rick Springfield, The Pointer Sisters, Berlin Y A Flock Of Seagulls.

This year, the festival is part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World, which began in October 2021 and extend over 18 months also in the theme parks Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom , all located in Florida.

On the occasion of these golden wedding anniversary, Epcot Park, opened in 1982, underwent a makeover to make it “more Disney, timeless, relevant and familiar,” as Bob Chapek, Disney’s chief executive officer, said last year.
