The information about the rapper’s death was confirmed, among others, by Stasiak and DJ Hubson. It was made public by sports photographer Piotr Kucza:
Karol’s heart has stopped beating today, and now it is breaking mine … Rest in peace, Pjus. I loved you like a brother. TOUJOURS VIF (Always alive – editor’s note) “- wrote on Twitter photographer Piotr Kucza (FotoPyk), friend of Pjus, privately a great fan of Legia Warsaw.
Pjus was a member of 2cztery7. Together with Stasiak and Typ Typem Mesem, he recorded two albums – “Funk for taste” and “Spaleni inne Słońcem”.
Pjus is dead. He was due to have another surgery on January 12th
On January 11, Pjus wrote in social media that he was waiting for another operation. In 2004, he was diagnosed with a rare disease, type 2 neurofibromatosis. This caused tumors to form on the rapper’s auditory nerves (one doctors also found on the spine). Thanks to the financial support of many of the rapper’s friends, it was possible to perform surgery to remove tumors and implant him with stem implants. Pjus thus became the first person in the world with digital hearing, and later the first musician with digital hearing in history, to record the album – “Life After Deaf” from 2009.
As part of the promotion of this album, music videos were shot for the songs “Nie Tellię Szeptem” directed by Filip Kabulski and Witek Michalak, and “Głośniej od bomb” directed by Witek Michalak.
When he lost his voice as a result of his illness, he took up writing texts for others. In 2017, “Słowotwory” had its premiere, where others rapped his texts.
