Crime series are so popular that dedicated fans of the genre are often able to solve on-screen puzzles faster than the main characters. Therefore, creators are increasingly looking for less and less standard solutions and ideas for the series. For example, in “Szadzia”, made on the basis of Igor Brejdygant’s book, the secret is not the identity of the killer – viewers will learn it almost at the very beginning. The greatest difficulty is finding the motives behind his actions.
The most perfidious criminals of the series
Piotr Wolnicki (Maciej Stuhr) is a respected lecturer in religious studies, husband of a beautiful and young wife, devoted father. An authority in his field, a man whom everyone trusts – even enough to help the police from time to time in various matters.
And yet he turns out to be a serial killer who chooses deeply religious women as victims. It is hard to believe that no one is able to realize that it is he who is brutally murdering. Until Commissioner Polkowska (Aleksandra Popławska) joined the investigation. It is she who finds traces of similar cases, reads the messages from the murderer left at the scene of the crime and slowly comes closer to solving the ghostly riddle. She does not know, however, that she was involved in the case for a reason: in fact, she has a lot in common with Wolnicki, as she learns in the course of the investigation. He fights against time, he wants to prevent further crimes …

It is no coincidence that the premiere episode of the series on TVN was watched by an average of 1.24 million viewers – the same was the average result for the entire season. And the fact is that it is difficult to take your eyes off Maciej Sturh, who meticulously and precisely builds the image of a psychopath: he smoothly moves between shots when he seems to be a charming and caring man, and scenes in which he behaves like an emotionless robot.
Another interesting case was Piotr Langer Junior, played in “Chyłka” by Jakub Gierszał. At first glance, he is the darling of fate: a handsome, intelligent kid from a good home. Father does not spare him money. And yet we meet him when he becomes a client of attorney Joanna Chy³ka, who defends him in an extremely brutal murder case.

The young man does not want to cooperate with his defenders, but Chyłka knows well that her client is capable of absolutely anything. She is one of the few who has figured it out and notices that she can deceive unsuspecting people with a friendly smile. And then use them in your sick plans and intrigues. He uses his position, manipulates, and pulls the facts to his advantage.
When his court case is over, he does not disappear from Chyłka’s life. He’s lurking all the time and refuses to let her alone: he is constantly messing with her life. From his perspective, it is a tribute, for her it is simply persecution.
A murderer of a new era
Gerard Edling, the protagonist of the new Player Original series “Behaviorist”, is faced with an even more dangerous opponent, based on the themes of another book by Remigiusz Mróz. The former prosecutor and specialist in kinesics – the science of body language – has to stop a man who knows his working methods perfectly.
Horst Zeiger is a seemingly quiet and calm guy, a computer specialist. And yet one day he takes as hostages the children and tutors of one of the schools he closes with in Opole. It does not impose any conditions on the police or the prosecutor’s office.

On the other hand, on the website www.koncertkrwi.pl, he broadcasts from the place where he is holding hostages and tells people to choose who he will kill: a seriously ill girl or a well-liked teacher with many years of experience? A respected elderly doctor or a young boy who, under the influence of alcohol, hit and killed children?
Zeiger manipulates people and commits more and more bloody murders, and the police are helpless. Then he calls on the degraded Edling, who is the only unlucky Zeiger who is unhealthily fascinated with him, and admires his achievements. So whatever he would do, the murderer seems to anticipate his every step. Worse, thousands of people on the web follow them all. The first episode of the series is available on the platform from January 4.
