Increasingly, we can hear about the victims of the “American soldier” method. As the name suggests, the fraudsters in such cases pretend to be US military. When they manage to gain the victim’s trust, they ask for financial support.

, a resident of the Lubuskie Voivodeship fell victim to fraudsters pretending to be the American military. As we learn from the police announcement, the man “in the photo presented himself beautifully in the uniform of the American army”. He quickly managed to gain the trust of a Polish woman.

The Polish woman lost 70,000 zlotys

The man was supposed to send a costly parcel to Poland. As he assured, he must give her all the money he earned during his mission. Otherwise, he will lose everything. When the woman agreed to such a solution, it turned out that funds were needed to pay for the shipment and customs duties. Therefore, the Polish woman sent the man PLN 60,000.

After this transaction, the fraudster stopped speaking. Then the woman made contact with another “military”. The man promised to help her get her money back. However, he asked for 10,000 zlotys to be transferred to him. As he assured him, he needed money to take necessary action. After the woman made the transfer, contact with the man was cut off.
