Rooney Mara as Audrey Hepburn in a biographical film directed by Luca Guadagnino

Mara, a two-time Oscar nominee, will also be the producer of the film and the script.

The Italian director Luca Guadagnino (Call me by your name, 2017) is preparing for Apple Studios an autobiographical film about Audrey Hepburn that will star in Rooney Mara, as confirmed by the American specialized magazine Variety.

Mara, nominated for an Oscar twice for the saga Millenium in 2011 and by Carol (2015) by Todd Haynes, will also be the producer of the film and the script, of which details are unknown at the moment, is in charge of Michael Mitnick.

Hepburn is one of the most celebrated actresses in Hollywood history, starring in classics like Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), Charade (1963), Roman Holiday (1953) the Sabrina (1954).

Over four decades he won all the great awards, the Emmy, the Oscar, the Tony and even a Grammy, he was a fashion icon whose validity survives and he also turned to humanitarian work, collaborating with UNICEF.

Guadagnino has other projects on the table, such as a miniseries about Brideshead Revisited or the movie Bones & all in which he will again direct Timothée Chalamet, protagonist of Call me by your name. (E)
