Emma Watson finds her Hogwarts letter in a book (of course!), Matthew Lewis – Neville Longbottom’s series – in a taxi. Moments later, they get on the train and rush to Hogwarts to remember the 20th anniversary of the premiere of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”.
Emma Watson had a crush on the movie Draco
And already in the third minute, it is easy to get touched when looking at the greeting from Watson to Tom Felton. This is one of the most beautiful moments, and then we learn that the actress had a crush on a boy three years her senior who played Draco Malfoy, but they never met. Watson mentions that she immediately fell in love with him when she saw how he coped with the task for child actors to draw what they think God looks like. They both admit that there is a strong bond between them to this day. The actress says:

Directors Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell and David Yates also talk about working on the set. Many people point out that the author of the books, JK Rowling, is not among the authors. Many people have suggested that the writer will be absent because of her. Only her statements from 2019 appear in the film produced by HBO Max. Like EW.com, producers invited Rowling to attend the convention years later, but received a response that her archival interviews should be sufficient in this case.
Careful viewers noticed that there is someone in the film that they would not expect. This is actress Emma Roberts (“Scream Queens”). This episode is the result of a mistake of the creators who, when talking about the beginnings of work on films about a young wizard, instead of a childhood photo of Emma Watson, they placed a photo of another famous Emma in the frame.
How did they find the movie Harry Potter?
The program is full of flavors and anecdotes. The fact that Daniel Radcliffe played him is the merit of the director of the first part himself.
Chris Columbus, who made Kevin Home Alone, watched David Copperfield one day after a long casting process. As the actor recalls, the vision of a contract for seven films shot in Los Angeles was not attractive to them. One producer, however, went to the theater for a play starring Daniel Radcliffe and personally persuaded his father to let his son apply for the role.
Fun first, then homework
The first two films, directed by Chris Columbus, are much more positive than the next ones. All the young actors remember on the set of HBO Max that they did not feel as if they were working, because the director allowed them to be primarily children and have fun on the film set. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, however, is the first major twist to darkness in the world of Harry Potter. The baton here was taken over by Alfonso Cuarón, who – as Emma Watson recalls – said that he would treat young actors as teenagers. He was the first to give filmmakers Harry, Ron and Fermion homework. – He wanted to get to know us better, so he gave us such a task. He asked us to write a short story about our characters, says Rupert Grint, and Radcliffe says:
After writing down half of the A4 sheet, I found that I had everything. And he said Jo [J.K. Rowling – red.] she wrote about it with 500 pages. But I thought I summed it up well. So he said it was okay.
“ Emma, of course, wrote on 12 pages, ” recalls Grint, and the director adds:
Rupert didn’t give me anything back. I asked where his task was. And he said Ron wouldn’t have done it either.
Who broke the ribs on the set, and who was the only one who knew the ending?
Mike Newell, the director of the fourth part, recalls the scene in which the Wesley twins want to trick themselves into joining the players of the Triwizard Tournament. They threw their names into the Goblet of Fire, although they were under the age of 17, and the latter retaliated against them. Then the actors, who played Fred and George, were about to pounce on each other furiously. The director mentions that they were very gentle and wanted to show them it was supposed to look like a real fight. He asked “who wants to fight?” and one of the brothers volunteered. Newell relates:
I was a chubby 60-year-old. I really shouldn’t have.
He pounced on the movie Wesley, who did the same. – I remember grabbing him around the waist, trying to throw him. I broke a few ribs. It hurt like bright lightning. But of course, the best part was that I made a complete fool of myself, she says.
The memoir movie lacked a few actors who are no longer alive. Moved Tom Felton remembers his film mother Helen McCrory, Gary Oldman and Raniel Radcliffe laughingly telling about the fact that Alan Rickman, who plays Snape, was the only person to whom JK Rowling revealed the ending because … he just asked her and added that he must know it. Radcliffe says:
Nida did not tell Chris (Columbus – the director – ed.) Or anyone. Chris asked him why he was doing something and he replied that he would find out later.
