I tested the new InPost option. I got rid of unnecessary clothes

As part of spring sales, I made the inspection of the wardrobe. I usually get clothes to containers. Recently, however, the InPost ecozwroty option has become overcome. So I decided to check how it looks in practice.

First, of course, I chose things to return. I have been making a wardrobe review quite regularly for several years – usually four times a year. That’s why I don’t find too many clothes. Ultimately, I chose three pairs of shoes that I hardly wore at all, a sweatshirt, a scarf and gloves. I suspect, however, that if someone is not regular in such reviews of clothes and general cleaning is just ahead of them, his shipment can be much larger.

Ekozwrot with InPost. What does it look like in practice?

I packed things into a cardboard box. This is probably the most problematic issue in the whole process, because looking for it took me some time. I do not keep this type of thing at home, I usually get rid of them immediately so as not to accumulate unnecessary drains. So I went to several grocery stores. Only in the fifth sellers had unnecessary boxes in the back. I would add that I could not pack things in a regular purse, because the heels of shoes could easily overgrow her. Besides, it would be difficult for me to find a large bag to fit all the things returned in it.

After packing things into the box, I opened the InPost Mobile application. In the lower right corner I chose the “more” option and then “return”. In the next step on the phone screen appeared “give things a second life” variant.

After clicking, there is a possibility of choosing the size of the shipment. It is very good that I did not have to print any additional labels. This greatly facilitated the whole task. It was enough to put a 10-digit code on the carton. At the end I went to the nearest parcel locker and gave the parcel.

Will I use this option in the future?

The creators ensure that Ekozwrots are a very fast and easy service. Can I confirm this? Not necessarily. I think that taking clothes in a regular container bag is a much easier task. In this case, we have to spend a little more time on it.

This does not mean, however, that the InPost service is from my perspective evil. I think that in the future I will use it. Earlier I took container clothes mainly from laziness. I have never been able to motivate myself to put them on sale on Vinted. However, it is increasingly said that container clothes rarely receive those in need. In turn, InPost clearly indicates in its offer that some of the items go to reuse or for charity, and those who cannot be repaired are recovered raw materials.

Inpost eco -sotar

Ekozwrots have been operating since 2021. InPost implements this program together with the Recondant to the Environment Foundation, whose main goal is to promote ecology and protection of natural heritage, popularize the idea of recycling and raising the ecological awareness of society. The Foundation has, among others, numerous information campaigns, competitions, charity actions.

Initially, ecozwrots covered only electrical and electronic equipment. Recently, however, it was also allowed to give unnecessary textiles free via parcel machines. The service was promoted by the head of InPost Rafał Brzoska himself. “Our completely free ekozwroty service enables quick and easy transfer of things that are fit for use, such as clothing, footwear, household appliances, children’s articles, books or toys. Each item passed through our machines Paczkomat® goes to a professional company, where it is checked and prepared for reuse, instead of hitting the landfill,” she got to Linkedin.
