From March 4, 2025, the amendment to the regulation on data processing by healthcare providers will enter into force. The changes are to improve registration and limit the problem of irrevocable visits. According to the data provided by the NFZ.gov.pl, in 2023 nearly 12 million SMSs reminded of research and visits were sent, and almost 1.3 million deadlines for the National Health Fund were lost.
New regulations from March 2025. They are to shorten the queues to doctors
Clinics and clinics will have to conduct schedules in the central AP Kolce application, managed by the National Health Fund. This system will allow you to monitor queues, eliminate multiple entries and provide access to current waiting data.
This will allow ongoing monitoring of the correctness of waiting lists, conducting detailed analyzes of waiting time for a visit. The fund also wants to eliminate cases of multiple records of the same person for the same benefit. Data analysis will guarantee completeness, validity and credibility of information obtained on queues to specialists.

Queues to eight specialists on new rules. Gradual implementation
Until now, the obligation to conduct visit schedules included four specializations: oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. The regulations extend this list to eight subsequent fields:
- urology,
- neurology,
- nephrology,
- ophthalmology,
- pulmonology (tuberculosis and lung disease),
- otolaryngology,
- diabetology,
- gastroenterology.
The Ministry of Health ensures that the new provisions will relieve the healthcare providers, and Patients will receive SMS with a reminder of visits thanks to the AP Kolce application. In the first place, urology and neurology will cover separate waiting lists in the application – from May 1, 2025. From May 5, 2025, it will be nephrology and ophthalmology, from June 1 Pulmonology and otolaryngology, and from June 15 Diabetology and Gastroenterology.
