A dog is not only a faithful companion of walks and games, but above all a living being, for which we take responsibility. As owners, we should provide him with safety, comfort and protection against stress. Unfortunately, many people forget about it, treating a dog as an addition to their daily duties. JEdny of such behaviors is to attach the animal under the store. Something that is still considered the norm in the Polish “yard” can cost us dearly.

Demonstratively attached her to the pole in front of the market, as we can often see in everyday life. In this way she wanted to remind you that it was not only irresponsible but also punishable. Under the film, there was a discussion on this topic instantly, and many internates did not hide their indignation about the irresponsible behavior of dogs

How much can you get a fine for a dog tied up in front of the store? Art. 77

Leaving an unattended dog is not only a lack of responsibility. Art. 77 of the Code of Offenses (not precaution when holding an animal) specifies that for this offense you can receive a fine of up to PLN 1,000. Since April 2021, the regulations have been tightened and the consequences may be even more serious, including the penalty of restriction of liberty. Barking can be considered potentially aggressive, which may result in the Police ‘call. However, if the animal breaks from the leash and causes an accident, the owner is full of responsibility. What’s more, in such situations the dog himself often suffers – it can be hit by a car, get lost or even stolen.

What if we see a dog tied to the store?

• Rate his behavior. When it looks stressed, barking, Skomle or breaks out, the situation may require intervention.
• Look for the owner. If the store is small, maybe it can be found quickly and pay attention to the risk that such behavior brings.
• Take a photo or recording. Do you suspect that the dog is neglected, left long or exposed to danger? Documentation can help you report the matter to services.
• Keep vigilant in the event of heat or frost. Extreme weather conditions can pose a serious threat to the dog. In such cases, it is worth acting faster and notifying the relevant services – the city guard or the police.
• Keep calm. If you decide to react, do it with caution. Confrontation with the owner may not always have a positive effect, so it is worth acting in a thoughtful and cultural way.
