A week has passed since President Andrzej Duda met Donald Trump for a few minutes. A trip to the USA was criticized by the way the meeting was transmitted – over an hour showed the waiting President of the Republic of Polandwhich could ridicule the head of state. The head of Duda’s office Marcin Mastalerek raised this issue in an interview with TVN24.
Minister of President Duda defends the broadcast from the meeting with Trump
TV Republika was the only one to broadcast the meeting of President Andrzej Duda with President Donald Trump. Politicians met at the CPAC conservative summit in the United States, where the Republic bought its own place. Together with the president, representatives of the television station went, while the viewers were convinced that Duda-Trump’s conversation would last “over an hour”, while the US president is coming to CPAC especially to talk to Duda.
However, not everything went as planned. Trump was late and the conversation itself lasted about 10 minutes. – It is himself, his legs, these are conversations with the other members of the delegation – for over an hour. In an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24, Marcin Mastalek referred to the charges of ridicule the transmission of the head of state.
The conversation never was to last hours. I have been to international conferences, being in a VIP-ROOM, if it comes to the conference earlier, is normal. TV Republika was a great success because she became the official partner of CPAC. She could enter all places and that’s why she could broadcast it. It was not waiting for a meeting, but waiting in a VIP-ROOM during a normal international conference.
