When to plant velvet? It’s not always the best solution
Sowing velvet to the ground is best carried out no earlier than at the end of April or early May. You just have to be aware of the fact that the plant tolerates cold very badly, so in the event of a sudden cooling it may not survive. Therefore, when the weather can be uncertain, it is better to get it over and first sow them to pots kept at home. You will have more control over cultivation, and the right conditions will make nothing to do.

The appropriate date for sowing velvet for pots is the end of February or the beginning of March, so if you plan it, do not hesitate. There is not much time left. Prepare small pots, good quality pot soil (it should be fertile and permeable) and save some time. The process itself is not difficult. Pour the soil into each pot, put in the seed (or a maximum of a few, but after germination, remember to remove weaker seedlings) to a depth of about 1 centimeter and cover with a small amount of soil. Keep them in a warm (about 20 degrees Celsius) and a bright place. Remember that without light they will grow poorly, so this is a prerequisite. Of course, don’t forget about regular not very abundant. The first seedlings will appear after a few days.
