In the case of the annual rate, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) backed 1.48%, after having registered 1.85% in January. In detail, pricing behavior was influenced up during February due to changes in the prices of the following consumption divisions: restaurants and hotels (0.29%), education (0.37%), recreation and culture (0.36%), diverse goods and services, furniture (0.25%), clothing and footwear (0.21%), food and non -alcoholic beverages (0.19%) others.
The Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP) had already anticipated it: interannual inflation is expected to approach the lower limit of the target range and resume levels close to the center of said objective. In the case of inflation without food and energy, this indicator will continue to decrease.
What products from Metropolitan Lima went up in price in February?
According to the INEI technical report, of the 586 products that make up the family basket, 323 rose in price, 124 registered decreases and 139 remained at the same levels. Those who reported a greater rise were the pepper pepper (79.03%), juice orange (18.49%), National Air Passage (15.76%), Papaya (14.75%), Granadilla (8.96%) and Perico (8.92%).
The variation of the February CPI was influenced by the increase in restaurant and hotels divisions that scored an increase in the food and drink service.
