Poles for the concerts of the largest in Europe? The reasons are all the list, and “the stadium will be full”

Ticket prices for concerts of top music stars are a hot topic in the media. Their growth cannot be noticed, which makes the dizziness not only of fans, but also experts from the industry. To listen to your idol, you usually have to have a sum of balancing on the verge of absurdity. What are the resulting rates from and is it really more expensive in Poland than in other European countries?

When a few weeks ago it turned out that at the beginning of July 2025 he would play a concert at the Warsaw National Stadium, Polish fans of the band were Assumed. Excitation quickly gave way to disappointment due to astronomical prices. These ranged from PLN 750 to as much as PLN 1999. The cheapest seats were … behind the stage. In addition, there is a service fee for intermediaries in sales. Dissatisfaction intensified that The same tickets to the event organized in Czech Prague cost up to PLN 200 less, and they were even cheaper in Berlin. And this is not an isolated case at all.

Not only tickets for the AC/DC concert. You will pay more for seeing these live stars in Poland

A similar situation took place in the case of the American Queens of the Stone Age, which will also play on Torwar in Warsaw in July. To listen to live musicians, Polish fans had to pay from 299 PLN for sitting places located far from the stage in the stands or PLN 399 for a place on the album. It quickly turned out that it was enough to cross the country’s border to save a lot. In Berlin, the most expensive tickets cost 70 euros, which at the course of February 28 gives around PLN 290similarly, among others in Dublin and Vienna. Even less, because only 66 euros, cost in the capital of Croatia, and in Budapest only 51 euros (it is about PLN 273 and PLN 211).

Another example is the June concert tour announced a few days ago. Cheapest Tickets for the event in Oslo cost PLN 280 (for a place on the album), while for an analogous ticket to the Tauron Arena in Krakow, Poles must pay almost twice as much, 500 PLN. Not to mention the fact that in favor of other European countries there are also much better adapted places in terms of acoustically where such events are organized. Those who have had the opportunity to be at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw at least once, they know that the sound system of the stadium can be fatal, although in the case of such astronomical prices should not raise any objections. The differences are essentially not as drastic as in the cases mentioned.

After the pandemic, ticket prices soared up. We know why

In terms of ticket prices and not only on, but also other cultural events, Coronavirus pandemic mixed up a lot. In connection with the introduced at that time, many of them were canceled, and the people dealing with the organization for several months lost the main source of income, some were even forced to change. When the world slowly began to return to normal and the first mass ideas appeared, colloquially speaking, there were no hands to work. To find people with appropriate knowledge and experience, and above all ready to take this risk again, Employers were forced to raise the offered remuneration.

As the Billboard Boxscore reported some time ago, the ticket fees were raised annually by about 3-4 percent before the pandemic, but when the machine moved again after its completion, it was necessary to catch up. Then the increase reached nearly 10 percent.which was a record result in history. However, this is not a problem concerning only Poles, in other countries the situation was similar, except that not on such a scale and in addition it was averted much faster.

Crazy inflation is not everything. It is for this reason that the ticket prices for concerts are so expensive

At the final price of tickets, the previously mentioned costs related to salaries for specialists and technical service, transport, which in Poland are one of the highest in all of Europe, and of course inflation. – It should be remembered that the concert industry is a low -barrier business. Only the scale can bring the expected profits – explained Katarzyna Nalepińska from Eventim Polska in an interview with the Wprost portal and added that the organizers “cleanly” come out only after selling 70 percent. places. One should not forget about the fees for artists who often make you dizzy. Most foreign stars for one speech take over dozens, and sometimes several hundred, as in the case of I Taylor Swift, thousands of dollars.

That’s right Gaźnis are the largest percentage of the entire budget for the eventso the larger they are, the higher the prices of tickets. – In the case of foreign stars, logistics related to the journey of the entire artist’s staff also play great importance – explained Bartek Troński from the Ebilet in OKO.press. In addition, this is not favored by the aforementioned exchange rate and the weak position of the zloty on the market. The chances of changes for the better are, however, slim, because since at astronomical rates tickets diverge on the trunk, why should the organizers give up them, even if the circumstances were conducive to it? – Even if the tickets are expensive, the stadium will be full – says an anonymous person from the industry in Business InsideDo you think tickets for concerts in Poland are too expensive?
