The Max platform does not slow down. At the end of January on the website “Wyłyk” debuted directed by Jan P. Matuszyński. On February 17, the third season of the famous series took part on the site “White Lotos”and in April viewers will have new episodes “The Last of Us”. Max announces a new Polish series. Will be based on true history
I am talking about production “Heaven. Five years in the sect” based on the book by Sebastian Keller. This is an inspired by a real story about the author’s personal experiences, who experienced several years in the title grouping. In the main roles in the series we will see, among others Tomasz Kot and Stanisław Linowski.
Production will transfer viewers to the early 90s, when the lives of many Poles have changed significantly and not everyone was able to find themselves in the new reality. At that time, it was easy to find self -proclaimed prophets who seemed to be the perfect solution to many problems. Loneliness, escape from parents, rebellion against religious principles, social norms, longing for belonging to a group or simply curiosity – these are just some of the motivations that were guided by people reaching the wings of charismatic leaders.
Six new Polish series will go to Max in 2025
As the creators announce, The new moral drama Max Original will show you how much we can devote, including our own freedom, to feel accepted and seemingly understood.
– I am glad that on board we managed to collect such a good cast and a team. Despite the fact that the action of the series takes place in the early 90s, its story is very current, because regardless of the time and place where we live, we need understanding and acceptance. I hope that we will take viewers on a journey, during which we will find the answer to the question of what really matters in our lives – declares Bogumił Lipski, director of the TVN story department of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery.
Soon in streaming you will also be able to see the production of HBO Original “Decent man” with Krzysztof Czeczot, Magdalena Czerwińska and Agnieszka Żulewska in the lead roles. Until the end of the year, another four local serial productions will debut on the site.
