It was one of the very few recent opportunities to try to influence the stream of Donald Trump’s consciousness – our president was supposed to talk to the US president. The Polish delegation was accompanied as the only TV Republic in a strong composition. In Poland, viewers were bombarded with information at the top:

And so for an hour, because so much was waiting with Andrzej Duda for the arrival of the US president. The viewers of TV Republika during this time were raised not only with the screaming sensation stripes, but also a preview of the salon in which our president was left with the TV Republika team. The president walked, talked to his support team, walked, walked and walked. This situation was decided by Michał Karnowski from the Competition of WPOLSK24.

“We must explain who – a provocation or unconsciously – wanted to hit the success of President Andrzej Duda and the important interest of Poland” – Michał Karnowski wrote in the column wpolityce.pl. It was about the form of presenting Duda’s visit to TV Republika. An indisputable meeting of the presidents was the Polish reason for the state – Donald Trump attacking Ukraine in words and threatening it threatens it and our security, if President Andrzej Duda had the opportunity to change the thinking of the US leader, his duty was to take advantage of such an opportunity. He used, although the effect was unfortunately poor. Unfortunately, the report of the Republic of the Republic contributed to this impression, which argued that this is not only the most important meeting of the entire conservative peak, but also that it would be extremely long and would bring groundbreaking decisions.

Someone – consciously or not – decided to hit this success. As a result, we have an avalanche of absurd national comments, saying some supposedly “humiliating long expectation”, which caused that “this trip came out frivolously, which is bad for Poland.” (…) All this in a situation where we are dealing with an objective success. There was no humiliation (…).

Looking for the reasons for this message, we reach the narrative imposed by Telewizja Republika. She stubbornly informed that the meeting would be very long – which has never been planned and nowhere, and in the conditions of the CPAC conference it was not right to happen. Most importantly, however, and what is unheard of in this form, she passed the image of the president waiting for Trump for several dozen minutes. In political lobby, it is said that it was a signal from a telephone erected by a representative of the Republic – the president was not to know that he was shown live (sic!) – writes Karnowski.

And it’s hard not to agree – the balloon inflated by TV to the limits of reason broke with a silent dust. Karnowski points out that instead of the raison d’etat for competitive television, only viewership was important. “It was about turning up the topic to shoot viewership, since they have already spent such sums” – cites the words of his informant Karnowski. In his text there are also specific amounts – over $ 100,000 for the very presence of a separate stand for TV Republic and the cost of arriving in the entire television team, following President Duda step by step. “Who wanted to hit the success of President Andrzej Duda and the important interest of Poland. Because it was a blow, I have no doubts” – ends Karnowski.
