The collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Basque Country, Artium, was extended with 65 new works between 2023 and 2024 both through the purchase of pieces and through donations by artists and private collectors. In addition, the Basque Government shared collection program, in which the Vitorian Museum participates, acquired 55 works.

Specifically, the museum’s foundation acquired 34 pieces of 15 artists who have been part of the museum’s exhibition program. In the list of works are paintings, sculptures, facilities, photographs and video, among other formats.

In addition, there were donations of 31 works belonging to 20 artists, among which are Txaro Arrazola, June Crespo, Alejandro Garmendia, Agustín Ibarrola, Jesus Mari Lazkano, Nerea Lekuona and Juan Luis Moraza, among other names.

On the other hand, 55 works from the Shared Collection Program were incorporated, promoted by the Basque Government and coordinated by Artium Museoa, Cicc Tabakalera and the Museum of Fine Arts of Bilbao. The total income of works of art in 2023 and 2024 including the shared collection is 120 pieces.
