How to take care of Jaskier? Cultivation is not the simplest and sometimes you need to show a lot of patience to be able to enjoy the beauty of fully. At the beginning it is worth mentioning that over 400 species of glaucoma can be distinguished, and the most popular are:

It is the latter that is most often grown in pots and at discounts in our gardens. It is distinguished by a wide range of colors. Asian glaucoma can be found, including in purple, red, white, orange and white. It is an annual one that grows up to a height of about 30-40 cm.

Dandelion – onions. Prepare them for planting?

How should you plant, such as Dandelion? Asian glaucoma bulbs should be soaked in water before planting to speed up germination. However, they should not be left in the water for too long, because then we increase the risk of mold development. Onions can be sprayed with an additional fungicide.

Place the tubers of Asian glaucoma into the ground to a depth of about 5 cm at a distance of about 12-15 cm. The optimal planting time falls on April and May (to pots throughout the year).

How to plant glaucoma: Optimal cultivation position for the plant

We already know how to plant glaucoma. And what position does he prefer? The glaucoma feel best in quiet places, but at the same time warm and sunny. They require fertile and well-permeable (preferably clay-sandy) soil with neutral or slightly acidic (pH within 4.5-7).

It is worth knowing that the plant needs regular watering. It is not very good at both shedding and drying. If we want to grow in a pot, it is worth choosing a model with drainage holes that allow you to constantly drain moisture. The pot should also be large enough for glaucoma tubers to have sufficient space for development.

Dandelion in a pot and in the ground is not resistant to frost, so the plant should be properly prepared for the arrival of winter. In autumn, Asian glaucoma should be dug, gently removing them from the ground, e.g. with forks. It is best to do this action right after the first frosts, when the leaves begin to turn yellow and slip.

The tubers can be stored e.g. in a box with sawdust. They must have adequate ventilation that will protect them from rot. We store glaucoma in a cool place, e.g. in a basement or garage.

Most often it grows on fallow, copper and cereals. Prefers limestone and clay soils. It is an annual plant, whose characteristic feature are small yellow flowers, collected in loose inflorescences. Field Jaskier blooms from May to September. It is worth knowing that it is poisonous. Her tissues contain harmful substances that can cause skin and mucous membranes irritation, as well as lead to digestive problems. Under no circumstances should the plant be consumed.
