“Captain America: The new wonderful world” is the 35th film in the film universe and the first in which we see in the action of the new Captain America played by Anthony Macki. Note, if someone did not see the previous 34 films along the way and at least two series set in this world, I explain: the actor playing this particular superhero was not mentioned, but a film character acting as Captain America.
For those who need a reminder (others can skip this paragraph): the first captain was Steve Rogers (), who in the film “Avengers: End Game” (after the world was saved, he stepped back in time to live a normal life alongside his side his beloved woman and just grow old) passed his shield and title to Sam Wilson (Mackie). This one has no superpower, he is simply a very efficient and trained soldier. But he has a special suit with wings. Hence the nickname Falcon (Sokół). And because he is righteous and fair, he is perfect for the deputy of Captain America, but of course he has a lot of doubts and generally understood a fraudster syndrome.
What is the movie “Captain America: New wonderful world”?
When we meet with our heroes, the Avengers team no longer exists, they are also after the events shown in the series “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” (he talks about the first months of Wilson in a new role), as well as those in the film – this is important because of this that now in the middle of the Indian Ocean, the giant body of the inanimate heavenly being with a very unusual and valuable chemical composition is protruding. It is called an island and is the subject of international negotiations. In the meantime, the presidential election was also held in the USA, which was won by General Thaddeus Ross (), who shaved the mustache and tries to get the forgiveness of his daughter, Betty (Liv Tyler).
Here, let’s allow ourselves to digression: the figure of the general in Marvel’s films has been scrolling for years, and was definitely significant in the thread of Bruce Banner, a scientist transformed into a great, green Hulk, who, so, so, was the fiancé of the daughter of General, Betty. And she didn’t like her very much that his dad sent almost the whole army to her beloved to catch him. So here a long -lasting conflict was born, which the loving father wants to resolve years later.
Let us add that the general is generally cut on superheroes, Wilson herself even put in prison for some time – in this film he offers him cooperation on the occasion of intensive work on signing a very important international treaty of strategic importance. Thaddeusa “Thunbderbolt” Rossa from 2008 to 2021 played in Marvel films, Oscar -winning William Hurt, who died in March 2022. The role was agreed by the retired from his full -time roles of Han Solo and Indiana Jones Harrison Ford, who, like what, but American presidents can play.
The only problem with this casting is that now, when General Ross plays Harrison Ford, it is impossible to lead his thread so that the viewers do not like him. Earlier “Thunbderbolt”, except that the cholera and servant, was also a bastard. It can’t be done now. I am able to forgive this character every mistake. Of course, there are plenty of fights and explosions here, but in a mysterious way they were abandoned almost all the situation, which is strange because Harrison Ford, the king of the sarcastic sense of humor, plays here. Not that it bothers the reception of the film so much, but the unused potential hurts. Just like the noisy announced return of Liv Tyler to the role of Betty Ross. Eventually, she recorded here as much as the cat cried.
The plot itself is neither particularly surprising nor revealing. At the beginning it is not known who is plotting against the president. In the end, it turns out that this is associated with unprecedented promises from years ago. Unfortunately, the consequences will affect everyone, not only the main culprit, who became the culprit not because he is undoubtedly a bad man, but you know, he had his reasons and he wanted it well, but things got complicated.
Oh, classic average with entertainment fights and explosions. Nevertheless, I appreciate that the scriptwriters remember the heritage of the film “Air Force One”, in which Harrison Ford plays trapped in the American president’s plane kidnapped by the terrorists, who alone wants to defeat opponents, they also placed in the new “Captain America” a fairly long stage on the presidential plane. It’s charmingly perverse. Another flavor: there is an episodically playing in the marvel universe of the winter soldier Sebastian Stan. His Bucky now wants to become a congressman and instead of fighting terrorists, he walks on political rallies. Meanwhile, the state not so long ago played in the biographical film “Chosen”.
How did Harrison Ford become a red Hulk?
Harrison Ford bluntly admits that he played in this movie for money and had a great time on the set. Especially when he came with the help of “Motion Capture” to play the scenes of the angry red Hulk. He emphasizes that this was not a particularly difficult acting task. He simply tried to understand the needs of the filmmakers and be useful for them. The director of the film Julius Onhus in a conversation with Varieta said that when Ford had fun, they were all deeply impressed by how delicious he gave the energy of a great, angry monster who smashes everything around. When asked about what helped him work on these sequences, Ford Naw 2024 confessed disarmingly prostilinely:
What was needed? I had to not worry about it. I had to be an idiot for money, which I had done before. I don’t want to diminish it, I just want to say that you sometimes have to do things that your mother or acting trainer normally, if you have it to forbid you.

Even the red Hulk is a better president than Trump
In one of the scenes, the red Hulk literally demolishes the White House. At one point he stands on the roof of this iconic building. In the light of the recent actions of Donald Trump, famous for his orange tan, it was difficult to refrain from reflection that this picture quite accurately reflects the nature of his new term. Symbolic and still accidental, because the red Hulk in Marvel comics appeared for the first time in 2008. The idea that the general becomes president is actually surprising. But even this character seems to have more competence than the actual US president. First of all, however, he is an experienced military commander who thinks strategically and cares for broadly understood security. He is a serious man who does not ridicule the office. Secondly, instead of propagating, he tries to de -de -de -sequate tensions and focuses on negotiations as a basic diplomatic tool. Thirdly, Ross is responsible for his actions and admits that he has made mistakes. Something like this from President Trump, however, is difficult to expect.
It is a sad paradox that we have come to such a stage, that even what Marvel shows in his superhero films seems more reasonable than what is really happening in the administration of Donald Trump. Recall: the US output with WHO, suspending programs of international humanitarian aid, abolishing the ban on bribery, change of the name of the Mexican bay to the American Bay, the idea to redeem Greenland and name it “red-white-blue land”. Examples of this type can be multiplied and divorced whether they resemble the script of a very absurd film in a political and satiric style. And this is a simple observation on the basis of peasant reason.
