How do you use the body’s aging process? Researchers have discovered the dependence between taking a certain supplement and the opposite of this process. As it turns out, every one can do it. All you need is a tablet a day for the biological age of the body to slow down. Sounds intrigue ± what? Check what science says.

Can we effectively delay the aging process? Yes, in many ways. Physical activity, a well -balanced diet and regular brain exercise are pillars of longevity. Thanks to them, we can enjoy health and good condition for years. But scientists have just discovered something – something that can realistically affect the pace of biological aging of the body. The secret lies in the regular intake of omega-3.

How to delay the aging process of the body? Scientists came to interesting conclusions

An international team of scientists under the leadership of prof. Heike Bischoff-Ferrari from Switzerland decided to check if the movement could slow down the aging process. As part of the three-year study, do-health study was analyzed the effect of omega-3 acids, vitamin D and physical activity on the body. 777 people over 70, divided into eight groups, took part in the experiment.

For three years, some of them took 1 g of omega-3 acids every day, others supplemented 2000 and vitamin D, and another group performed half an hour of exercises three times a week. Some participants combined these methods. How was the effects checked? Scientists analyzed DNA methylation – a process that shows at what pace the cells are aging. The so -called epigenetic clocks, i.e. one of the most accurate tools for determining the biological age of the body. The study published in Nature Aging was to show whether simple lifestyle changes can realistically affect longevity. And the conclusions are surprising.

How to stop the aging process? Take care of supplementation

The results of the study showed that seniors who regularly received omega-3 acids were biologically aged three months slower than their peers, who did not use supplementation. If they additionally took vitamin D and exercised regularly, their organisms gained almost four additional months of youth. This is proof that supplements really affect the rate of aging. However, we must remember that to be beneficial for the body, you should focus on regularity.
