“Agencja” is a 10-episode American spy, which is an adaptation of the iconic French series “Spy Office”. On February 10, 2025, i.e. a few weeks after the world premiere, the first two episodes debuted in the Platform library, the next ones will appear every Monday. Although the reviews are mostly positive, there are also negative comments among them.
The American version of the iconic thriller finally in Poland. What is the plot of the “agency” about?
The main hero of the production is the secret CIA agent Martian, who gets an unexpected order to abandon life under the cover and return to work. In the meantime, he meets old love, with which he makes a fiery affair. His true identity, professional career and the mission he has to do, however, stand through the development of this feeling. In love, therefore, they are drawn into a deadly dangerous game of international intrigues and espionage. Will they be able to overcome the difficulties and finally experience happiness?

The authors of the engaging script are Jaka and John-Henry Butterworth, who also serve as executive producers together with Joe Wright, the director of several episodes. However, it is not the only advantage of the “agency”, because the star cast is also noteworthy. GThe fishery role was created twice by Michael Fassbender. Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saur Lightfoot-Leon, Reza Brojerdi and Richard Gere also appeared at his side.
On the screen we will also see a hospitality of a Pole Marcin Zarzeczny, known for such productions as, “minute of silence” and “klangor”who played the role of Alexeia Orekhov. – The very experience of meeting such legends is amazing. Although when I was going to the set, I thought if I could be “acting” enough to be there – he said in a recent interview with Pleiades, adding that he was warmly received by the team. – We nailed five. We knew we were there to make great scenes – he said.

A decent, spy series in contemporary realities

When I finished watching the French version, I was empty in me. The agency doesn’t have something. But we know how Americans are, they always have to have everything of their own
