What if you lower your “bad” cholesterol? The doctor lists 8 products

In lowering the level of “bad” cholesterol, you can help change the style of life. One of the key aspects is of course our diet. What products should be there? Several advice was given by doctor Marek Skoczylas recently popular in social media.

The main source of cholesterol is the liver, which produces about 85 percent of lipids circulating in our body. However, the rest comes from what we eat. It is worth remembering that some food products contribute to raising the level of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) in the blood. In turn, others can help reduce it.

Diet to lower the level of “bad” cholesterol

So what should we introduce to our diet if we want to take care of this aspect of our health? According to Dr. Marek Skoczylas First of all, it is worth adding 4 grams of fiber to our daily diet. Such a change can quickly help us lower the level of bad cholesterol. The expert on his recording also revealed what specific products should be in the menu. Its list includes:

  • oats (in the amount of 50 gw per day);
  • beans (from 70 to 100 g per day);
  • walnuts;
  • vegetable oils, unrefined with the first pressing (for example, 30 ml olive oil);
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric;
  • 1 avocado piece;
  • fatty sea fish;
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa.

On the recording, the doctor mentions that fatty sea fish, which is difficult to get every day, can be replaced with omega-3 supplements. In such cases, as usual, however, we remind you that it is worth focusing on products of proven brands that enjoy a good reputation among specialists.

It turns out that the inclusion of the products listed by the doctor in the daily diet brings the expected results. “In a month the effect is visible” – wrote one of the viewer of Dr. Marek Skoczylas under the recording.

“Bad” cholesterol – what products do its level increase?

It is also worth remembering on a daily basis about products that increase the level of “bad” blood cholesterol. They contain so -called saturated fats. This is primarily red meat and full -fat dairy products. Therefore, limiting this type of food can reduce “bad” cholesterol. Products harmful to the health of the vascular system also include articles ultra processedfull of so -called trans fats (partly hydrogenated vegetable oil) that increase the overall level of cholesterol in the blood.
