Once I was quite skeptical about cheap cosmetics. I was convinced that they not only had worse quality, but also uncertain composition. I remember that as a teenager I bought a pencil for a Polish brand for a dozen or so zlotys. However, it turned out that the product … does not leave any trace. Since then, however, a lot has changed.

Cheap products are not only better and better, but also we do not have to worry about their composition – in force in the European Union The law imposes strict requirements in the field of cosmetics safety. I will also mention that the Polish company, which produced the crayon I mentioned, currently has very decent products that usually collect positive reviews.
However, in my opinion low prices are drugstore. For example, it can be a foundation for 20 or 30 zlotys or ink for rows for 15 zlotys. So I do not hide that when I saw the prices of cosmetics in Action, I was very surprised. How does someone pay for such cheap things? So I decided to paint myself with these cosmetics and assess whether they are significantly different from those we know from the drugstore. Here are the prices of products that were in my basket:
- Eyebrow pencil – PLN 3.29
- Mascara – PLN 6.45
- Lipstick – PLN 6.29
- Corrector – PLN 5.45
- Pink powder – PLN 6.45
- Eye shadows – PLN 4.95
- Lip liner – PLN 3.99
- Foundation – PLN 6.49
Such low prices do not inspire my trust. The thought appears immediately that the product is very weak or has a terrible composition. However, while shopping, I noticed that the coloring of Action (most are Max & More products) It enjoys great popularity. Many shelves in the cosmetics department were empty, in the case of some cosmetics the most popular shades were missing.
Cosmetics with Action. How did the products fall out during the tests?
To my surprise, the effect of most of these products is very satisfactory. Definitely Matt Finish was the best for PLN 6.49. Interestingly, it came out better than many other much more expensive products of this type.
The foundation turned out to be very durable. In addition, he did not emphasize dry skin and wrinkles. I also checked its composition on the Cosmetic Lupa website. It turned out that the cosmetic does not contain any uncertain substances. So I think that it deserves attention.
Another very good product is a concealer. We can use it for imperfections and under the eyes. In my opinion It is a great replacement for a much more expensive product – Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Concealer, whose price depending on the perfumery usually ranges in the range of 150 to 200 zlotys.
Mascara is also noteworthy. I tested many expensive products of this type and unfortunately even they are very often flared. In this case there was no such effect. In addition, the cosmetic lengthened and thickened my eyelashes. Pink in powder, lip liner, mini eye shadow palette, eyebrow pencil and lipstick These cosmetics are very decent. They do not stand out unique, but I certainly can’t say they are bad.
However, the cosmetic that failed me is bronzer for contouring. Its packaging is visually similar to the extremely popular Charlotte Tilbury – Hollywood Contour Wand. So I guess it was supposed to be his substitute. Unfortunately, the cosmetic from Action made stains and it was very difficult for me to flash it. It was definitely the worst of all the products tested.
Although this last product turned out to be disappointing, I think that other Action cosmetics really keep the level. It surprised me because seeing their low prices, I expected something much worse. This is another proof that currently cheap products often match the much more expensive ones. I suspect that everyone who is painting will find a cheap cosmetic gem for themselves in this store. In the future I will probably come back for the foundation, concealer and mascara.
