The Vitorian Orchestra Director Juanjo Mena He has announced in a video sent to EITB that Alzheimer’s disease has been diagnosed and suffers from “an incipient stage of the disease.”

Mena, 59, is in “assimilation process” of a “complicated news” news, although since last September he has been able to continue working with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Dallas Symphony, the Orchestra of the Teatro Real from Madrid and Euskadiko Orkestra.

The musician intends to continue working, “resting more”, and considers his family and music as the best therapy to face the future.
