Is there a worse household chore than cleaning the bathroom? Most homeowners would say no. From trying to navigate such a small space to inhaling noxious fumes from cleaning fluids, cleaning your bathroom can be a frustrating experience. And if you have stubborn mineral stains, it’s even more of a pain. Don’t worry, we’ve got a quick fix.
Vinegar and baking soda
Add 1 or 2 cups of vinegar to the toilet bowl along with a few pinches of baking soda. Swirl the solution around the bowl with a brush for a few minutes, then leave it for about 15 minutes. Scrub the stains with a brush. If that doesn’t remove the stain, try adding a little lemon juice to loosen the dirt. Rinse again with water and repeat the cleaning process if necessary.

Coca-Cola is a great toilet cleaner
After rinsing the toilet bowl, fill it with Coca-Cola (yes, really Coca-Cola). The acids in the drink will help remove the stains. Leave it overnight. Rinse the next day and get to work with the brush. Stains and any smudges will disappear almost by themselves.
Try boric acid if all else fails
Boric acid, often sold under the name borax, can also be a very effective way to clean, sanitize, and remove stains from your toilet bowl. Sprinkle the toilet bowl with two cups of boric acid and scrub the bowl with a toilet brush. Leave the solution in the bowl overnight. Borax helps dissolve stains if left overnight. In the morning, simply flush the toilet, scrubbing it with a toilet brush.
