British street artist Banksy unveiled his eighth work in eight days on Monday, the silhouette of a rhinoceros drawn on a wall in what appears to be a car parked on the pavement. The work is located on Westmoor Street in the Charlton neighbourhood, in south-east London.
As usual, he used his profile Instagram to claim authorship. He did so at 13:00 British time (12:00 GMT). This work marks the start of the second week in which the artist has been painting graffiti in different parts of London, always with an animal theme.
London turned into an artistic zoo
The first of his works was revealed just a week ago. A goat on a ledge of a building with a security camera pointed at it. The camera was later relocated. This painting appeared in the Richmond district, southwest of London. In his second work he depicted two elephants coming out of each other’s windows and trying to connect their trunks. This painting appeared in the Chelsea neighborhood.
Three monkeys hanging at Shoreditch High Street stationwhich according to sources close to the artist, could refer to the Japanese proverb “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil”, have been illustrating the eastern district of the English capital since last Wednesday. The fourth work is the only one that has not survived, a wolf howling, painted on a satellite dish in the Peckham neighbourhood. However, this work can no longer be seen in its original location, as a group of hooded men stole the antenna in less than an hour after the artist officially claimed his authorship.

The following painting is located on the facade of a restaurant in the Walthamstow district. Two pelicans fishing for fish, precisely, in a bar where the typical local product “fish & chips” is sold. In addition, one of these birds is included in the sign of the establishment. On Saturday it would appear his sixth work, a cat in a stretching-like position decorated an empty billboard in the Cricklewood neighbourhood of north-west London.
He didn’t even take Sunday off. A glass police booth became a canvas for the street artist, who drew a picture on it aquarium full of piranhas. The work can be seen on Ludgate Hill Street, in the heart of London.

And the graffiti artist, despite not having confirmed his intentions, since mystery and surprise are his hallmarks, seems to have no intention of stopping.
