Unfortunately, it is not yet known when Netflix will show the sixth season. Due to the writers’ strike and weather conditions, work on the set has been delayed, so we are talking about 2025. There are to be 10 episodes, it is not yet known whether they will have scenes as spectacular as these. The showrunner of the production, Patrick Sean Smith, previously revealed that fans can expect a “time jump”. They are also supposed to learn more about Everret Reid, a character who appeared at the end of the fifth series and – warning, further spoilers – is Mel’s father.
Meanwhile, a prequel to Virgin River is reportedly in the works. The spin-off would focus on the romance between Sarah, Mel’s deceased mother, and her biological father, played in the series by John Allen Nelson. The first information on this topic appeared in February, when filming for the sixth season of Virgin River began. ) Details of the plot and cast are not yet known.
