A group of seniors from the US flew to Poland for a Taylor Swift concert. “We thought they were joking”

In a few hours, the first of three Taylor Swift concerts scheduled for the PGE National Stadium will begin. The event will be attended by fans of the artist from all over the country and abroad. Eight retirees from the USA decided to come to Poland just to see their idol perform live.

In March of this year, Taylor Swift embarked on a world tour called “The Eras Tour”, during which she has already performed in the United States, South America and Asia. The American singer’s tour also included Europe, where she will perform a total of 48 times. Three of the artist’s concerts will take place at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw on August 1, 2 and 3.

The event attracts crowds not only from all over Poland, but also foreign fans who were unable to get tickets for earlier performances in closer locations. Among those who came to Poland for the concert were a group of retired women from the United States, who spontaneously decided to take this bold step. Donna Brownell, Vicki Dinou, Elaine Helstrom, Margaret Barton, Lisa Kaplan, Lyn MacGuire and Dorice Kreinbring, who live in Florida, came to Poland at the urging of their friend from the senior club.

During one of their meetings, Barbara O’Hare told them about a Taylor concert she had attended with her daughter and granddaughter. The senior citizen was so delighted with the whole event that she decided to give her friends similar emotions. “We thought it was just a joke, but in fact, 30 minutes later, she called me and said: ‘I found tickets, there are great seats and we’re flying to Warsaw'” – is the statement of Vicki Dinou quoted by the portal abc7chicago.com. The friends set off on their trip to Poland on July 29. After the Taylor Swift concert, the seniors plan to stay in Warsaw for another week.
