TVP received a summons. On the air of “Panorama” a reporter said one word too many

The National Broadcasting Council has made a decision regarding the “Panorama” reporter’s slip-up. In one of the editions, Marcin Dryszel cursed while reporting on a fire at Marywilska 44 in Warsaw.

In May, Marcin Dryszel reported on the fire at the Marywilska 44 shopping mall in Warsaw on TVP. The reporter got lost in the information he wanted to convey and swore on air. “At twelve o’clock the services… at twelve o’clock the services said that the level was elevated… that, that, that… That the level of concentration was elevated… That there was no… F***, I’m sorry” – this is what the journalist said during one of the editions of “Panorama”.

Although the reporter immediately apologized for the choice of language, the matter was referred to the National Broadcasting and Television, which initiated proceedings in connection with the complaint filed with the body. The institution’s spokesman forwarded the decision to Plejada.

– The Chairman of the National Broadcasting Council, taking into account the disciplinary actions taken directly by the broadcaster, pursuant to Article 10, Section 3 of the Broadcasting Act, addressed a call to Telewizja Polska to cease disseminating content that promotes the vulgarization of language by exercising due diligence in conducting journalistic reports and introducing appropriate preventive procedures, at the same time obliging it to provide information about these actions – we read.

As you can see, the immediate reaction of Telewizja Polska played a significant role in resolving the situation. As Wirtualne Media unofficially reported in May, TVP was supposed to have suspended Marcin Dryszel from his official duties immediately after his on-air mishap. What’s more, people from the journalist’s circle were supposed to have told the portal that the TVP employee had no previous experience in reporting live events.
