The Madrid artist Miguel Vigil has died due to of a heart attack at age 68 at his home in Ronda (Málaga). Vigil was always linked to the world of entertainment, having developed as an actor, comedian, singer, guitarist, composer and writer. He also created the ‘Academia Palanca’, a project founded in 1989 that managed to bring musical humour to radio, television and theatres.
“After verifying that He didn’t like studying or working”as his official website points out, “decides to become an artist.” The fact that he excels in various disciplines, such as humor, music or composition led him to “be a bit of everything.” His performances in popular series such as ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’, ‘La que se avecina’, ‘El Ministerio del Tiempo’ or for participating in television programs such as ‘Un, dos, tres’ and ‘Noche de Fiesta’ will be remembered.
In addition, he was the founder, along with Javier Batanero and Antonio Sánchez, of ‘Palanca Academy’ musical group that dared to challenge political correctness and spread musical humor on television, radio and theaters; in addition to producing several albums. The group dissolved in 2010 and since then he resumed his solo career, which produced hits such as ‘No soy sólo una cara bonita’ (2013) and ‘Y yo sin estos pelos’ (2020). In addition, his bibliography includes nine works, the last one published in 2023.
