Judge María Inmaculada Iglesias Sánchez, of the 19th Court of Instruction of Madrid, has opened an investigation into Nacho Cano for the alleged commission of crimes against the rights of foreign citizens and crimes against the rights of workers in the contracting for his musical ‘Malinche’.

In a ruling to which laSexta has had access, the judge has opened criminal proceedings against Nacho Cano following a complaint by a Mexican dancer selected in that country to take part in the musical, along with 19 other participants in a casting, to form part of the company ‘La Malinche’.

Throughout the text, the messages of one of the people in charge of speaking with this group of people are detailed, in which he says: “I remind you that you will travel as tourists. They should not mention in immigration that they are going to study“.

“On the date of the closing of the report, these people would be training and working with the company ‘Malinche’, without having obtained any type of authorization to do soall of them being in the country illegally, having contravened the obligation to leave the national territory when they were notified, through their lawyer and representative, of the denial of the respective authorizations for stays for studies, where a voluntary exit period of 15 days is established, this being mandatory,” it adds.

The investigation has also found written evidence that would show that this group of people not only rehearsed the musical, but participated in it. “Hello everyone. Management has just told me that Until Sunday he wants you all to go out in function. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thank you all,” reads the message.
