According to information obtained by the top.pl portal, their prices at online auctions vary depending on the condition, from PLN 60 to even PLN 200 per copy.

For a similar amount, you can also buy school textbooks from the 70s and 80s, especially those for mathematics, as well as primers such as “Litery. Nauka czyta” by Ewa and Feliks Przyłubscy or the famous “Elementarz” by Marian Falski for learning to read and write. Also of great value are guides aimed mainly at housewives, e.g. “Praktyczna Kuchnia”, which can be purchased online for about PLN 100, as well as brochures on the service or repair of cars popular at that time.

The absolute classic, “Pan Samochodzik”, reaches dizzying prices, and specifically the edition published by “Pojezierze”, which can cost up to PLN 1,000. The absolute record holder and at the same time the most sought-after book trophy is a set of famous cartoons “Mosaik”, which were simply unobtainable in Poland during the PRL period.

When this type of set, especially in good visual condition, appears at collectors’ auctions, the bids go up by the minute. According to WP, its starting price can be even over PLN 111,000.
