From January, every time we buy something covered by the deposit system, we will pay more because an additional fee will be added to the bill. There is a way to get this money back, though. Just place the can or bottle in a machine designed for this purpose. These will be located in stores with an area of more than 200 square meters. How much money will we get back?
- For cans up to 1 l – 50 groszy;
- For single-use plastic bottles up to 3 l – 50 groszy;
- For reusable glass bottles up to 1.5 l – PLN 1.
Many chains are already preparing for the changes and installing vending machines in their stores.

The deposit system is largely about protecting the environment and encouraging us to return cans, glass and plastic packaging. The aim is to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill. Packaging is supposed to be recycled and reused, reducing the need for new raw materials.
