The Labor Inspectorate will enter TVP. A journalist filed a complaint: These are not the standards of the civilized world

Tomasz Marzec did not work in the “new” TVP even for a month. At the same time, he signed a contract and a notice of termination, and then reported irregularities, which in his opinion Telewizja Polska allowed itself, to the State Labor Inspectorate. The journalist has just received a response.

Tomasz Marzec was one of the new faces of the new station after the big December changes. He was supposed to be invited to the editorial office of “19.30” by the program’s director Paweł Płuska, but the journalist did not work in public television even for a month.

Tomasz Marzec reported irregularities at TVP. He received a response from the State Labor Inspectorate

The separation of Marzec from TVP did not go unnoticed. The journalist asked the State Labor Inspectorate to intervene in the station’s case, which was to look into his dismissal and employment, as well as the general chaos that, according to Marzec, could be observed in the documents of the “new” TVP. In an interview with Wirtualne Media, the journalist emphasized that in his opinion, Telewizja Polska had not fulfilled the agreement it was supposed to have concluded with him. Moreover, he had doubts as to whether he had been working at the station fully legally.

After several months from filing the notification to PIP, Marzec received a response. – A decision was made to take into account the issues raised in the complaint as part of the inspection conducted at Telewizja Polska SA in Liquidation. This inspection will take place within the scope of the irregularities reported by you, in the area falling within the competence of the National Labor Inspectorate bodies – the Wirtualne Media portal quotes the statement of the National Labor Inspectorate addressed to Tomasz Marzec.

There will be a PIP inspection in TVP. “Standards differ from those in force in the civilized world”

The journalist is very satisfied with the PIP decision. He emphasizes that after only a few days of working at TVP, he noticed that what was happening there “significantly deviates – to put it diplomatically – from the standards of the civilized world”. – I am very surprised that everyone has been indifferent to this for months and I am glad that someone will finally check such a basic thing – how employees are treated there. I think it is worth starting with this and reminding that Telewizja Polska should be a benchmark of standards. In every field – emphasizes Tomasz Marzec in an interview with Wirtualne Media.
